Thali deals
The combinations people actually order, priced so you don't have to do the maths.
How it works
Add plates or family portions to your thali. Mix daals freely — the rice comes hot and separate so nothing goes soggy on the way.
One tap sends your order straight to our kitchen, itemised and ready. We reply within minutes to confirm the address and the time.
Your tarka goes on at the last minute, the boxes are sealed hot, and our rider is at your gate in 30 to 45 minutes. Cash or online transfer.
A day in our kitchen
Chana, mash and masoor, each washed and soaked separately — the step most kitchens skip, and the reason our daal holds its shape.
Whole cumin, coriander and red chilli, roasted and ground fresh. No packet masala, ever.
Two and a half hours in a heavy degh, stirred often, never pressure-cooked into paste.
Basmati boiled in small batches through the day so no plate ever gets rice that's been sitting.
Garlic crackling in desi ghee, poured over your portion as it's boxed. That sound is the whole point.
Daal Chawal began in a family kitchen in Karachi, cooking for friends who were tired of oily takeaway and too busy to cook. Word spread the way it does with good food — one neighbour at a time.
We still cook in small batches, in the same kitchen, with the same three daals. If a degh doesn't turn out right, it doesn't leave the house. That's the only quality control we've ever needed.
What people say
The mash daal is exactly how my nani made it — dry, not a khichri. I've stopped ordering from anywhere else for lunch.
Ordered the Daftar Box for my team of five. Everything arrived hot, labelled, and the rice was still separate. Now it's a Friday ritual.
You can taste that it's cooked properly and not sitting since morning. The achaar with it is a lovely touch. Delivery was 35 minutes.

Every day, from scratch. Daal is soaked at 6 AM and simmered through the morning; rice is boiled in small batches through service. Whatever is left at the end of the night doesn't get sold the next day.
Yes — family portions and the Daftar Box cover most gatherings, and for anything bigger than twenty people just message us a day ahead so we can put on an extra degh.
Cooked to a comfortable family level — flavourful, not fiery. Tell us kam mirch or tez in your WhatsApp order and we'll adjust your portion before the tarka goes on.
We do monthly tiffin for offices and students at a reduced rate. Message us on WhatsApp for the current monthly plan.
